Craftsmanship
With craftsmanship at the very heart of our company, we’ve developed a process which ensures quality at every stage of manufacturing. From product innovation, to state-of-the-art technology, at The Original Gluggle Jug Factory this is how we combine the best of British workmanship with contemporary and premium style.
Gluggle Jugs
The irresistible Gluggle Jug jugs are the perfect centrepiece for any occasion. Since first being made in the 1860s, the jug has captivated users with its happy ‘gluggling’ sound.
The sound, emanating from the fish’s mouth when liquid is poured at three quarters full, has brought entertainment and novelty to dinner tables for nearly 150 years.
And the popularity of this iconic, ever-so quirky jug increases with every generation, not just in the UK, but all around the world – particularly delighting American consumers for over 60 years.
The Gluggle Jug jugs most recent rise to popularity came in the mid-1900s, when Dartmouth Pottery began producing their own range and a pair of bespoke jugs were gifted to the Royal Family on a visit to the Britannia Naval College in 1958.
Today they’re available in a full range of colours. And with the option of personalisation, it’s a truly unique gift for businesses, celebrations or weddings. Or why not just treat yourself?

Mortar & Pestles
For over a century, Milton Brook, part of Wade Ceramics, has been producing the iconic Mortar and Pestle.
This is the go-to tool for any home chef who’s serious about scratch cooking. And with our finest unglazed porcelain providing the perfect abrasive finish for grinding and crushing, this is one is hard to beat.
Together with its style and durability, the easy-clean smooth exterior of the Mortar is a key selling point, especially when combined with the grip-friendly long-handled Pestle.
Designed to be used with dry and wet mixes, this accessory can be used to prepare dry rubs and marinades; to create fresh salsa, guacamole and hummus to your heart’s content.
Pie Flutes
Wade’s expertly-crafted pie flutes each have a hand-painted figurine adorning the top. (Birds, animals, fruit – the choice is yours!)
Simple to use and exquisite in detail, they help guarantee a delicious pie every time. How? Well, the secret lies in allowing the steam to be released. This, in turn, enables the crust crisp and the filling bakes instead of stews. Delicious.
This food preparation tool is vital accompaniment to any kitchen. The pie flute is useful, traditional and easy to get along with
